Tony is an Enrolled Agent and experienced tax professional with over 15 years of experience. A graduate of the University of Maryland, Tony is skilled in preparing both business and personal returns.

He was with H & R Block for 13 years where he managed and prepared over 3000 returns for business and personal clients. After H & R Block, he joined Liberty Tax where he filed returns and provided tax planning for 800 clients. He then went to Brian Tort Financial, LLC as the Director of Tax Operations and Services. He managed 28 locations, 60 employees and aided the firm in meeting the goals of 3500 clients.

The most enjoyable part of the job for him is being able to interact and assist clients with their concerns with the federal and state taxing agencies. He enjoys providing clients with tax planning that protects and compliments their situation long into the future.

In his spare time, he enjoys his large family and riding his custom motorcycle.

Brian S. Perkis, CPA

A certified public accountant for sixteen years, Brian S. Perkis has more than fourteen years of professional experience in entertainment finance. He is the founder and principal of accounting, tax reporting, and consulting practice primarily focusing on the needs of entertainment industry clients. Brian’s role is to assist clients with the development of effective growth strategies, and the creation and implementation of streamlined operational strategies which allow for strategic and timely business decisions.

Brian Perkis started his entertainment finance career at Miramax Films. For the three years, he was at Miramax, he was responsible for the financial management of 30+ feature films and television shows per year totaling approximately $100 million per year in production investments. This included budget and cost reporting, oversight of production tax credit deals, management of credit relationships as well as currency exchange, guild, and other production financial matters. Brian provided weekly reports to senior management to enable timely production and creative decisions.

Brian then joined the highly-regarded independent film production company, GreeneStreet Films, as Head of Finance and Controller. During his six-year tenure, he oversaw the many financial management functions that he did at Miramax and also managed all corporate accounting, tax, and finance operations. His duties included the creation and effective roll out of its international sales subsidiary as well as a genre film division.

After leaving GreeneStreet, Perkis spent three years at Turner/truTV as Director of Production Finance.

In that capacity, Perkis was responsible for the financial oversight and management related to the production of more than 300 hours of original programming annually. He established and integrated all production finance reporting (cash flow, quarterly financial details, tax credit reporting, and variance details) and analysis (forecast, budget, and business deal modeling). Additionally, Brian worked with senior company management to monitor budget expenditures of the company’s Development, Production, Research, and Programming departments.

He lives in Park Slope Brooklyn with his wife and three kids and is actively involved with many educational, civic, and religious organizations in his neighborhood.
